Illegal soil mining thrives in Bulandshahr despite police patrols, threatens night commuters

Illegal soil mining operations continue to flourish in the Dibai region of Bulandshahr despite ongoing police patrols, with over a dozen operators allegedly conducting their business brazenly at night, raising serious questions about law enforcement effectiveness and public safety.

Tractor-trolleys loaded with illegally mined soil are seen speeding on Dibai's Bhimpur intersection and National Highway-509 as soon as night falls. The high speed of these vehicles not only disrupts traffic management but also creates constant concerns about the safety of commuters.

According to sources, Nagla Khera, Nagla Bhud, and Pir Baba Road on Dharmpur Road in the Dibai area have become major hubs for the illegal soil mining business. Allegedly, a large number of soil-laden tractor-trolleys leave these locations at night and head toward their destinations via various routes.

Sources also claim that people involved in illegal soil mining allegedly use around half a dozen vehicles at night to monitor the activities of officials and police. This has reportedly created an atmosphere of insecurity even among commuters traveling at night.

The biggest question is how vehicles connected to illegal soil mining continue to move throughout the night despite continuous police night patrols. According to sources, if the nighttime activities and locations of around a dozen illegal soil mining operators said to be active in the area are investigated, their presence could allegedly be traced several kilometers away from their homes.

Suspicious activities are also being discussed around Dibai Kotwali at night. According to sources, the movement of alleged illegal soil mining mafias can allegedly be seen throughout the night at a tea shop located just a short distance from the police station. Not only this, their mobile locations can allegedly be found throughout the night around Dibai's Paith Chauraha and near Gagan Petrol Pump.

The question now is who is providing support or, in other words, whose blessings these illegal soil mining mafias have received, due to which they have no fear of the police administration. However, officials like Tahsildar Sarita Kumari show no mercy toward such mafias, as it is known that approximately three days ago, following information received by Tahsildar Sarita Kumari, she conducted a raid and seized two tractors that were engaged in illegal soil mining. But now, whether it should be called the fearless dominance of these mafias or the blessing of some unknown power, putting a stop to them seems almost impossible even after all this.
