Six to seven unidentified miscreants allegedly raided Geeta Farm House, located on the Agra-Aligarh National Highway in Sasni, Hathras, late on Friday night and carried out a robbery after taking the farm house’s watchman hostage.
The miscreants allegedly tied up the watchman’s hands and legs and assaulted him. They then fled with the alternators of four generators, the digital video recorder (DVR) connected to the CCTV cameras and cash kept at the farm house.
The incident caused panic in the area. Farm house owner Neeshu Gupta, son of Lakshmi Narayan Gupta and a resident of Mohalla Barahsaini, submitted a written complaint at the Kotwali. He requested the police to uncover the incident and take action against those responsible.
In the complaint submitted to the police, Neeshu Gupta said that unidentified miscreants entered Geeta Farm House late on Friday night. According to the complaint, they removed the alternators from four generators kept at the farm house.
The miscreants also took away the DVR of the CCTV cameras installed at the farm house, along with cash. The complaint stated that the DVR and cash were taken so that evidence linked to the incident would not be available.
Farm house watchman Bhuri Singh told the owner about the incident. According to Bhuri Singh, six to seven unidentified miscreants reached the farm house at around 11:30 p.m. They caught him, tied his hands and legs and assaulted him.
After this, the miscreants covered the mouth of a halwai’s helper who was present at the farm house and put him to sleep. As a result, he could not raise an alarm or inform anyone about what was happening.
After carrying out the robbery, all the miscreants fled from the spot. When he learned about the incident, the farm house owner searched for the miscreants, but no clue could be found.
The owner then reached the Kotwali and submitted a written complaint. He asked the police to solve the incident at the earliest and take action against the unidentified accused.
However, Senior Sub-Inspector Ranjit Singh said that no complaint related to the incident had been received so far. He said that legal action would be taken according to the rules after the complaint was received.
