Ujjain Municipal Corporation demolishes illegal Madhvanand Ashram construction on Sinhasth land

The Ujjain Municipal Corporation demolished unauthorised construction carried out on Sinhasth area land on Lalpul Bridge Road. The illegal structure was built by Madhvanand Ashram without obtaining proper permission from the competent authority.

Municipal Commissioner Abhilash Mishra said that encroachment and illegal construction on Sinhasth area land will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He made it clear that strict action would be taken against any unauthorised activity on the protected land.

The civic body conducted an inspection of the site located on Lalpul Bridge Road and completed all necessary legal procedures before taking action. Following the completion of formalities, the corporation deployed heavy machinery to remove the illegal construction. Two poklen machines and JCB machines were used to carry out the demolition work.

The Sinhasth area holds special religious significance in Ujjain, and the land is protected for use during the Kumbh Mela celebrations. The municipal corporation has intensified its drive against encroachments to ensure that the area remains free from unauthorised structures ahead of future religious gatherings.
