Two women injured in separate jackal attacks in Uttar Pradesh village

Two women were injured in separate jackal attacks in Tilakpur village under Naveen Modern police station area of Shravasti district. Both victims were admitted to the Community Health Centre in Ikauna where doctors have begun treatment.

According to information received, Rita, 65, wife of Jagdish and a resident of Tilakpur, had gone to graze goats when a jackal suddenly attacked her. She sustained injuries in the attack. In a separate incident in the same village, Badka, 75, wife of Ramferan, had gone to pluck flowers when a jackal also attacked her, leaving her injured.

As soon as news of the two women being injured spread, panic gripped the nearby residents and family members. The family members rushed both women to the Community Health Centre in Ikauna, where medical officers started their treatment. Family members admitted both injured women to the health facility on Thursday night.

The twin attacks in the same village on the same day have raised concerns among local residents about the presence of aggressive jackals in the area.
