Sanitation workers honored with ceremony on PM Modi's birthday in Uttar Pradesh

A heartwarming ceremony unfolded in the Sirsiya block of Shravasti district's 289 Bhinga assembly constituency as sanitation workers received unprecedented recognition on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. The Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Sangathan organized the special event at the historic Paramhans Temple complex in Ahlad Nagar, Janakpur, turning the spotlight on the unsung heroes who keep villages and streets clean every morning.

Suabhash Satya, district president of the Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Sangathan and social worker, led the initiative to honor all sanitation sentinels of the Sirsiya block. The workers were welcomed like VIPs with garlands and traditional scarves as the gathering celebrated their essential contribution to society. Amid thunderous applause, the sanitation workers were presented with spades, brooms and baskets, symbolizing the dignity of their labor and sending a powerful message that these cleanliness soldiers form the true backbone of society.

Senior social workers Yashpal Singh and Bhim Singh addressed the assembly alongside mandal president Rajkumar Yadav and Moti Lal Yadav, president of the Sanitation Workers Union. They emphatically declared that service is the greatest pledge one can take. The event saw a strong gathering of trade association leaders including Pradhan Chhathi Lala, Arvind Gupta, Sonu Soni, Guddu Singh and other prominent figures from the business community. The atmosphere resonated with spirited slogans of "Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat" as participants celebrated the men and women who dedicate themselves daily to keeping India clean.

The ceremony reflected the growing recognition across Uttar Pradesh that sanitation workers deserve respect and honor for their vital role in building a healthy nation.
