Swift car crashes into highway divider near Lucknow, all four occupants escape unhurt

A Swift Desire car crashed into a road divider on the National Highway near Lucknow on Wednesday afternoon, but all four occupants escaped unhurt in what could have been a serious accident.

The incident took place in the Musafirkhana police station area when the speeding vehicle, travelling from Lucknow to Sultanpur, lost control and struck the divider on the four-lane stretch of the National Highway near Maa Ka Aashirwad filling station. The crash caused panic at the spot as other commuters and locals rushed to help.

According to preliminary information gathered by police, the driver had dozed off behind the wheel, causing him to lose control of the car. The vehicle veered off its lane and collided with the central divider separating the highway lanes. The impact left the car damaged, but fortunately, the divider prevented the vehicle from crossing into oncoming traffic, which could have resulted in a far more catastrophic collision.
