State Minister visits flood-hit Bahraich, promises relief and crop compensation

State Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh visited flood-affected areas in Bahraich district and assured victims of all possible assistance from the state government during this crisis. Accompanied by Balha MLA Saroj Sonkar, the Minister for Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Foreign Trade and Agricultural Export, who also holds independent charge as the Minister in-charge of Bahraich district, inspected severely affected villages including Rampur Ratiya, Dharmpur Sampat, Purva Khairi Purwa and Baba Rampur Ratiya, traveling through the inundated areas by tractor.

During his visit, Singh interacted directly with flood-affected villagers to understand their problems and reviewed the relief and rescue arrangements being provided by the administration. He reassured the victims that the state government stands firmly with them in this hour of crisis and that continuous efforts are being made to provide all possible assistance to affected families. The Minister directed officials to ensure there is no shortage of relief materials, food, health facilities and other essential services in the flood-hit areas.

Addressing farmers whose paddy crops have been submerged and damaged by floodwaters, Singh announced that a survey of the affected crops would be conducted and compensation would be provided as per norms. He emphasized that the government is fully sensitive to farmers' interests and is committed to ensuring they receive benefits under every government scheme and facility.

The Minister stated that the district administration is working with complete alertness to tackle the flood situation. He appealed to villagers to maintain patience and follow the guidelines issued by the administration. District Magistrate Akshay Tripathi, Superintendent of Police Vishwajit Srivastava, Additional District Magistrate Amit Kumar, public representatives and concerned officials were present during the inspection. The visit underscores the government's focus on providing immediate relief while preparing for long-term rehabilitation of flood victims.
