District administration assesses flood damage in Tarbganj villages, pledges support

A joint team comprising SDRF, revenue disaster unit and the district disaster expert conducted a field inspection of flood-affected areas in Tarbganj tehsil on the instructions of the District Magistrate. The team visited flood-hit villages including Ailiparsauli, Babuparwa and Godiyan Purwa and assessed the situation on the ground while directly interacting with villagers to obtain detailed information about the flood conditions.

During the inspection, the team gathered information about waterlogging in the affected areas, movement of villagers, safe housing, drinking water, food and other essential facilities. Officials listened seriously to the problems and needs of the villagers and collected necessary information about the prevailing circumstances on the spot.

The SDRF team advised villagers to remain alert during the flood and move to safe places in case of any emergency. Villagers were assured that the district administration is keeping a constant watch on the flood situation and all necessary steps are being taken for the safety and assistance of affected people.

The revenue disaster team and district disaster expert also informed villagers about precautions to be taken during disaster situations. The team said that in case of any problem or requirement, the administration should be informed immediately so that necessary assistance can be provided in time.

Officials assured villagers that the district administration stands with them with full sensitivity in this difficult situation and all possible assistance will be provided as per requirement. The situation in flood-affected areas is being continuously monitored and concerned departments and disaster teams have been kept alert to deal with any emergency.

During the inspection, the team appealed to villagers to follow guidelines issued by the administration, not enter floodwaters unnecessarily and ensure special safety of children and elderly persons. Relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas are being conducted by the district administration on a priority basis.
