Bahraich minister assures flood victims of state support after inspection tour

Bahraich's Minister in Charge Dinesh Pratap Singh visited flood-affected areas in the district and assured victims of all possible assistance from the state government. Accompanied by Balha MLA Saroj Sonkar, the minister, who holds independent charge of the Horticulture, Agriculture Marketing, Agricultural Foreign Trade and Agricultural Export departments, inspected several severely affected villages including Rampur Ratiya, Dharmpur Sampat, Purv Khairi Purwa and Baba Rampur Ratiya. The inspection was conducted by tractor as the minister toured the flooded regions to assess the ground situation.

During his visit, Singh interacted directly with flood-affected residents to understand their problems and reviewed the relief and rescue arrangements being provided by the administration. He assured the victims that the state government stands with them in this hour of crisis and that continuous efforts are being made to provide all possible assistance to affected families. The minister directed officials to ensure there is no shortage of relief materials, food, health facilities and other essential arrangements in the flood-hit areas.

Addressing farmers specifically, the minister said that surveys will be conducted for those whose paddy crops have been submerged and damaged by floodwaters, and compensation will be provided according to rules. He emphasized that the government is fully sensitive to the interests of farmers and is committed to ensuring they receive the benefits of all government schemes and facilities.

Singh noted that the district administration is working with complete alertness to deal with the flood situation. He appealed to villagers to maintain patience and follow the guidelines issued by the administration. District Magistrate Akshay Tripathi, Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Srivastava, Additional District Magistrate Amit Kumar, public representatives and other concerned officials accompanied the minister during the inspection tour.
