Shravasti district ranks 13th overall on Chief Minister's development dashboard

A comprehensive review meeting was held at the Collectorate auditorium to assess the progress of development and construction works displayed on the Chief Minister's Dashboard, chaired by District Magistrate Annapurna Garg and attended by Chief Development Officer Shahid Ahmad. During the meeting, department-wise reviews were conducted of schemes, programmes and construction works being implemented by various departments, and necessary directives were issued to the concerned officers.

The meeting was informed that in August, Shravasti district's ranking stood at 39th position for development works, 9th rank for revenue works, and a combined rank of 13. On the Chief Minister's Dashboard, out of a total of 85 programmes reviewed for the district, 59 programmes were placed in A category, 4 programmes in B category, 4 programmes in C category, 2 programmes in D category, and 16 programmes in other category.

During the department-wise review, instructions were given for expected improvements in programmes related to Rural Development/DRDA, Medical and Health, Public Works Department and Social Welfare Department. Similarly, construction works of Rural Development/NRLM, Women and Child Development/ICDS, Planning and Public Works Department were also reviewed. The District Magistrate directed the concerned officers to ensure corrective action on a priority basis in those departmental schemes and indicators where expected progress has not been achieved.

The District Magistrate directed all departmental officers to ensure progress in accordance with the set targets while conducting regular and intensive review of the schemes and programmes displayed on the Chief Minister's Dashboard. She gave clear instructions that all officers should regularly monitor their departmental indicators for improvement in ranking and category on the dashboard, and ensure time-bound action on points with low progress.

The progress of Single Family ID was also specially discussed in the review meeting. The District Magistrate directed the concerned officers to ensure action on a priority basis to expeditiously resolve pending works related to Single Family ID and data-related deficiencies, and to prepare and update the Family IDs of eligible families. In addition, the District Magistrate also directed that under the Chief Minister's Collective Marriage Scheme, all Block Development Officers, Executive Officers and other concerned officers should ensure publicity and complete maximum applications against the target, and ensure organisation of collective marriages on the occasion of Navratri.

The CMIS portal was also reviewed in the meeting. A total of 432 projects are displayed on the portal, of which 9 projects are delayed and 254 projects are progressing within the stipulated time frame. Reviewing the delayed projects, the District Magistrate gave instructions to the concerned officers and executing agencies to take necessary corrective action and complete the projects within the stipulated time frame. A review was also conducted regarding marks and ranks of the district on the Chief Minister's Dashboard.

The District Magistrate directed all executing agencies that the quality and progress of construction works being carried out by them should be regularly reviewed, and the works should be completed within the stipulated time frame while updated progress is recorded on the concerned portal. If negligence or unnecessary delay is found at any level, accountability of the concerned officer or executing agency will be fixed. Finally, the District Magistrate gave instructions to all officers to ensure expected progress in schemes and development works in accordance with the government's priorities, and to bring continuous improvement in the district's ranking.

The meeting was attended by District Statistics and Economics Officer Dr Neeraj Srivastava, Additional District Statistics and Economics Officer A L Fariya, along with all concerned district level officers, Block Development Officers, departmental officers and representatives of executing agencies.
