Samajwadi Party national general secretary Shivpal Yadav reached Sunvarsha village in Kanpur Dehat to attend a private programme. During his visit, he commented on several political issues and attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Responding to a statement by Sanjay Nishad, Shivpal Yadav said, “Ration nahi, shasan chahiye”: meaning that governance, rather than ration, is needed. He added that knocking on the door of another party was Sanjay Nishad’s decision.

When asked whether Sanjay Nishad could join the Samajwadi Party, Shivpal Yadav said it was a matter of the party’s strategy and that he could not say anything at present.
