Rijiju showcases infrastructure push in Arunachal Pradesh border areas with China

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has shared a video showcasing ongoing infrastructure development work along the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh. The minister posted the footage on social media, highlighting the government's commitment to strengthening border areas that share boundaries with China.

While sharing the video, Rijiju wrote that border areas are challenging, but the Narendra Modi government remains committed to border development. He stated that he visited the Maja, Galemo, and Taksing areas of Arunachal Pradesh and issued directions to accelerate infrastructure projects in these regions. The minister emphasized that these remote border zones, which were previously neglected, have now become a top priority for the government.

The infrastructure push in Arunachal Pradesh comes at a time when India continues to focus on strengthening its presence and capabilities along the disputed Line of Actual Control with China. The eastern sector, particularly Arunachal Pradesh, has been a sensitive area with China claiming parts of the state as South Tibet, a claim India categorically rejects.

Rijiju's visit and the subsequent sharing of development work underscore the government's strategy to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in border regions. Better roads, bridges, and facilities not only improve the lives of local populations living in these remote areas but also aid in faster troop movement and logistics support for security forces deployed along the frontier.
