Raebareli Markets See Heavy Rush As Women Shop For Karwa Chauth

Raebareli’s markets witnessed considerable activity in connection with the Karwa Chauth festival. A festive atmosphere prevailed across the district markets, with the rush especially visible in Lalganj town.

A strong presence of women was seen at different shops in the town. Many women visited sari stores to buy saris according to their needs and preferences.

Shops selling puja items, मिट्टी के करवा, sieves, diyas and decorated thalis also saw a heavy flow of customers. There was also substantial customer movement at shops selling cosmetics, artificial jewellery and traditional clothes.

Shopkeepers had made special preparations to attract women shoppers. Women were seen buying items of their choice and completing the final preparations for the Karwa Chauth fast and पूजा.

Traders said that sales were considerably better this time compared with the previous occasion. According to the traders, the improved sales kept the markets lively and added to the festive atmosphere.

The rush continued as women focused on shopping as well as arranging the materials required for the fast and पूजा. From saris and traditional clothes to पूजा सामग्री, clay karvas, sieves, diyas, decorated thalis, cosmetics and artificial jewellery, customers visited various shops in preparation for Karwa Chauth.
