Public Movement in Unnao Launches Campaign for Ambedkar Statue Reinstallation

A public movement is taking shape in Unnao’s Shuklaganj for the reinstallation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s displaced statue. Local MLA Pankaj Gupta announced during a press conference that a large-scale campaign involving door-to-door outreach and village-level mobilization will be launched to gather public support for the initiative. A grand resolution assembly will also be organized as part of the efforts.

The campaign’s slogan, "Years of struggle, an unfinished story; together we’ll create a new legacy," was unveiled at the event, alongside the rallying cry, "No pause until the statue is restored." Gupta emphasized that the movement is not just about reinstalling the statue but also about spreading Ambedkar’s ideals of social justice, equality, and constitutional values across society.

Highlighting Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions as the architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social change, Gupta described the statue’s reinstallation as a symbol of respect for Ambedkar’s legacy and the nation’s commitment to constitutional principles. He stated that volunteers will actively engage with residents in villages and homes to involve them in the campaign.

The MLA clarified that this is not the initiative of any individual or organization but a collective effort of the entire society. He appealed to all sections of the community, including social groups, youth, and intellectuals, to participate actively in the movement. Gupta expressed confidence that with public support, the statue will be reinstalled with dignity.

Gupta reiterated that the outreach and awareness programs will continue until the statue is restored in Shuklaganj. He urged citizens to join the campaign and contribute to preserving Ambedkar’s legacy, fostering social harmony, and upholding constitutional values.
