Mirzapur District Magistrate pushes industrial growth through investor-friendly initiatives and grievance resolution

District Magistrate Pawan Kumar Gangwar chaired a crucial district-level meeting on Monday at the Collectorate auditorium in Mirzapur, focusing on the Udyog Bandhu, Vyapar Bandhu, and GBC-5.0 initiatives. The session centered on accelerating industrial activities, encouraging investment, and resolving entrepreneur grievances within fixed timelines. Officials were directed to treat industry and trade matters as top priorities and ensure their resolution according to prescribed deadlines.

Gangwar emphasized that creating a favorable investment climate remains the administration's foremost priority. He stated that increased investment will generate employment opportunities and strengthen the local economy, requiring all departments to work in close coordination. During the meeting, entrepreneurs raised various concerns including issues related to electricity, roads, water supply, land acquisition, and pollution clearances. The District Magistrate instructed concerned departments to examine each case seriously and ensure transparent, time-bound action.

A detailed review was conducted on the Common Facility Centre being constructed under the ODOP scheme at village Rampur Wasit Ali, Lalganj, by Messrs Vindhya Spinners and Rugs Association. Officials explained that the previous contractor had been removed due to negligence and delays, and a new contractor was authorized from July 13, 2026, with construction now resumed. Separately, Ajay Srivastava, Managing Director of Samvedana Hastashilp Producer Company Limited, highlighted the dilapidated 200-meter road leading to the carpet and durrie CFC at village Amaravati, Vindhyachal. The District Panchayat confirmed the road has been included in the 2026-27 work plan, with tendering completed and budget demands submitted.

The meeting also reviewed the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign Scheme 2026-27, with the Lead Bank Manager directed to ensure 100 percent achievement against government-set targets. Most significantly, Gangwar stressed achieving the district's ambitious investment target of 26,000 crore rupees under GBC-5.0, urging departments to expedite processes related to investment proposals. He appealed to entrepreneurs to expand their investment scope in the district, asserting that new industries would create additional employment opportunities for local youth and accelerate the region's economic development. Senior officials from various departments and district entrepreneurs attended the comprehensive session.
