Officials inspect Kanwar Yatra route in Firozabad ahead of pilgrimage

District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police Aditya Langhe conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Kanwar route and pilgrim camps along the Tundla-Eta road in Firozabad on Monday. The senior officials undertook a foot march from Tundla Chowraha to Nihal Singh Puliya to personally assess the arrangements being put in place for devotees during the upcoming Kanwar Yatra.

During the inspection, the authorities examined several key aspects including road conditions, cleanliness, lighting arrangements, traffic management systems, and facilities being provided at the Kanwar camps for pilgrims. The on-ground visit allowed the officials to identify gaps and ensure that all necessary infrastructure is in place to facilitate the smooth passage of thousands of devotees expected to traverse the route during the annual pilgrimage.

District Magistrate Sharma directed the concerned officials to maintain cleanliness along the entire route and ensure that all essential arrangements remain in proper working order throughout the pilgrimage period. He emphasized the need for continuous monitoring and quick resolution of any issues that may arise. Meanwhile, SSP Langhe issued necessary instructions to police personnel regarding security deployment and traffic regulation during the Kanwar Yatra, stressing the importance of maintaining law and order while ensuring minimal disruption to pilgrims.

The officials assured that both the district administration and police force are on full alert to prevent any inconvenience to devotees during the Kanwar Yatra. They emphasized that all departments have been instructed to work in close coordination to handle the massive influx of pilgrims expected in the coming weeks. Several other district officials accompanied the DM and SSP during the inspection to ensure departmental accountability and prompt action on identified concerns.
