Man arrested for filming obscene act at Ujjain cremation ground

Ujjain police have arrested a man for filming and circulating a disturbing video showing him committing an objectionable act with human remains burning on a funeral pyre at Chakratirth cremation ground. The accused, identified as Kali alias Nandigiri Shivvishnubrahma, a resident near Sadumata ki Baori on Outer Ring Road, Ujjain, was apprehended following swift police action after the video went viral on Instagram.

The incident came to light when complainant Vishnunath ji Maharaj Guru Bam-Bam Nath filed a report at Jeevajiganj police station. According to the complaint, the accused recorded a video of himself performing an inhuman and objectionable act with a burning human corpse at the cremation ground, then uploaded it on his Instagram account. The act was reported to have desecrated human remains and hurt religious sentiments, prompting immediate police intervention.

Following the complaint, Jeevajiganj police registered a case and launched a rapid investigation under the supervision of Station In-charge Inspector Pratik Sharma. The police team traced and arrested the accused from Chakratirth, Ujjain, and brought him to the police station for interrogation. During questioning, the accused confessed to committing the crime. Police are conducting a detailed investigation, examining evidence and analyzing the content circulated on social media platforms.

The case underscores growing concerns about objectionable content being shared on social media. Ujjain police have appealed to the public not to circulate or share inflammatory, objectionable, or religiously offensive material on social media platforms. Citizens are urged to immediately report such content to police authorities. The accused will be presented before court after completing necessary legal formalities and investigation procedures.
