Madhya Pradesh CM and Karnataka Governor attend spiritual celebration of Swami Satyamitranand Giri's 94th birth anniversary in Ujjain

The 94th Prakaty Mahotsav of Brahmalin Gurudev Shri Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj was celebrated with immense devotion, spiritual dignity and a spirit of national consciousness in the holy city of Ujjain, the sacred abode of Mahakal.

The grand celebration honoured the revered founder of the world-famous Bharat Mata Mandir, a luminous pillar of the Advaita Vedanta tradition of Sanatan Dharma. Brahmalin Shrimat Paramhans Parivrajakacharya, Shrotriya, Brahmanishtha, Anantashri Vibhushit Gurudev Bhagwan Shri Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj's 94th birth anniversary was observed with profound reverence, devotion and spiritual solemnity at the Anjushri Hotel premises in Mahakal's sacred city of Ujjaiyini.

The festival was graced by the chief presence of the honourable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Dr Mohan Yadav, and the chief guest honour of His Excellency the Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot. The programme was presided over by Shrimat Paramhans Parivrajakacharya, Shrotriya, Brahmanishtha, Anantashri Vibhushit, Junapithadhishwar Acharyamahamandleshwar Poojyapad Shri Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj.

On this occasion, Poojya Acharyashri Ji recalled the life, spiritual practice, teachings of Advaita Vedanta, national consciousness and the immense contribution of Brahmalin Poojya Gurudev to Sanatan culture through the establishment of the Bharat Mata Mandir. He said that Poojya Gurudev's life was a wonderful confluence of knowledge, penance, sacrifice, service, harmony and national awareness. His spirituality was not confined merely to self-realisation but encompassed a comprehensive sense of responsibility towards the nation and society, service and public welfare.

In this very spirit, special and heartfelt discussions were held regarding the Simhasth Mahaprav to be held in Ujjaiyini in the year 2028. Poojya Acharyashri Ji said that Simhasth is not merely a fair but a grand festival of India's eternal spiritual consciousness, the tradition of saints, pilgrimage culture and public faith. The Simhasth held on the soil of Ujjaiyini presents to the world an unparalleled vision of India's spiritual heritage and cultural unity.

Deliberations took place on the collective role of the honourable Chief Minister, public representatives, the saint community, the administration and the citizens of Ujjain in making Simhasth-2028 grand, divine, well-organised, safe, clean and devotee-centric. It was emphasised that this is not merely a government event but a grand festival of every citizen of Ujjain, the saint community, social organisations and the entire public. From the smooth movement and darshan of devotees to cleanliness, drinking water, accommodation, transportation, health, security and arrangements at the ghats and pilgrimage sites, the sentiment emerged to develop such a system in every sphere that every devotee coming from India and abroad returns from Ujjain not just with memories of darshan but with spiritual warmth and an unforgettable experience.

Poojya Acharyashri said that the Simhasth to be organised in the city of Mahakal is an opportunity to present to coming generations the spiritual identity of Ujjaiyini and the vastness of Indian culture. Therefore, along with development and arrangements, the protection of Ujjain's antiquity, sanctity, environment, pilgrimage tradition and cultural character is equally important. The grandeur of Simhasth will be determined not only by the scale of facilities but by its spiritual dignity and the Indian tradition of honouring devotees.

The Mahotsav featured special worship and adoration of Brahmalin Poojya Gurudev, Rudraabhishek and a bhandara for saints. The saints, monks and devotees present offered flowers of devotion at the holy feet of Brahmalin Poojya Gurudev.

Poojya Acharyashri Ji said that Poojya Gurudev's life is the radiant light of Advaita Vedanta, Sanatan culture and national consciousness. Taking inspiration from his life and incorporating the values of truth, service, spiritual practice, harmony, self-realisation and service to the nation in one's life is the true tribute to him.

This celebration of the Prakaty Mahotsav of Brahmalin Gurudev on this sacred land of Mahakal was not only a remembrance of a great saint but also an occasion for a collective resolve to connect the values of the Sanatan tradition with the present and to give a grand and divine form to the immense spiritual festival like Simhasth-2028.

On the soil of Ujjaiyini, the sentiment was expressed to make Simhasth-2028 such a grand festival through the coordination of Mahakal's grace, the blessings of saints, the resolve of the government and administration, and the participation of every citizen, which would present the vastness of India's eternal spiritual consciousness to the world.
