Ludhiana: Man Accused of Raping Sister-in-Law, Threatened to Leak

In Ludhiana, a woman has accused her brother-in-law of raping her after secretly recording an obscene video of her while she was bathing. The victim, who had come to stay with her sister in July 2024, filed a police complaint detailing the incidents. She alleged that the accused, identified as Amarjeet Kumar, used the video to blackmail her and force her into repeated sexual relations.

The victim further claimed that she became pregnant as a result of the assaults, after which the accused allegedly forced her to undergo an abortion by administering medication. She also accused him of physically assaulting her multiple times.

The accused, Amarjeet Kumar, is a resident of Beldehri village, Sikarhata police station area, Bhojpur district, Bihar. The case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code at Jamalpur police station. SHO Dalbir Singh confirmed that the investigation is underway, and the victim's statements are being recorded. The case was transferred from Haryana as a zero FIR.
