Lodha police arrest two men with 980 kilograms of stolen wheat

Police in Lodha have arrested two men with a vehicle loaded with stolen wheat following a theft reported earlier this week. The accused were caught with 22 bags of wheat weighing 980 kilograms.

The case began on Saturday night when unknown thieves broke the lock of a tubewell belonging to Yogendra Pal Singh, a resident of village Akbar Pur Bada Gaon in the Lodha police station area of Aligarh, and stole approximately 15 quintals of wheat using a Maxx vehicle. Police registered a case based on Yogendra's complaint and launched a search for the thieves.

On Tuesday afternoon, an informer tipped off the police that two youths were standing near Nai Colony in village Lhosara Visawan with a Maxx vehicle. Police immediately formed a team comprising Sub-Inspector Javed Hasan, Constable Rajkumar, Ravindra Kumar, Mohit Lohiya, Ajay Dhama and Rupak Chaudhary. The team cordoned off the area and apprehended the two men, who had wheat loaded in their vehicle.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Sandeep son of Pravesh Kumar from village Dudhman Pali Mukim Pur, and Aamir son of Yunus, a resident of Lalla Ki Seedi Neebri. According to police, the 22 bags of wheat weighing 980 kilograms were recovered from them. Action has been taken against the accused and they have been sent to jail.
