A grand Teachers' Honour ceremony was organised at Maati Eco Park in Kanpur Dehat on the occasion of Teachers' Day. Teachers who carried out outstanding work in the basic and secondary education sectors were felicitated with certificates of appreciation.
The programme was inaugurated by chief guest Cabinet Minister Rakesh Sachan and State Minister Pratibha Shukla by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the teachers from the dais, Cabinet Minister Rakesh Sachan said that the picture of government schools in the state has changed since 2017 and the infrastructure in schools has been strengthened through the Kayakalp scheme. State Minister Pratibha Shukla said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government has enhanced the respect and honour of teachers and also given them many gifts.
On the question of teacher shortages in schools, Minister Rakesh Sachan gave an assurance that wherever teachers are needed, the shortage will be filled soon.
