Inner Wheel Club ties rakhi to honor Bahraich police on duty during festival

Members of the Inner Wheel Club in Bahraich celebrated Raksha Bandhan with police personnel at the Superintendent of Police office, tying rakhi threads on officers and jawans as a gesture of appreciation for their service to the community. The event, led by club president Srimati Mamta Gupta, brought festive cheer to those on duty during the festival.

The celebration recognized the sacrifice of police personnel who often cannot be with their families during festivals due to security duties. Club members tied rakhi on the wrists of both officers and jawans, presented them with sweets, and received blessings in return. The initiative aimed to honor the dedication of those who remain vigilant to ensure public safety even during important occasions.

Raksha Bandhan, traditionally a festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters, has increasingly become an occasion to honor relationships of protection and duty beyond the family.
