Police encounter in Bulandshahr leads to arrest of chain-snatching suspects

Bulandshahr: A dramatic police encounter unfolded in Khurja Dehat as authorities confronted two accused in a recent chain-snatching case. One of the suspects, Adil, sustained injuries during retaliatory police firing, while the second accused, Imran, was arrested after being cornered.

According to the police, the incident traces back to August 1, when the duo allegedly snatched a chain from a woman in Khurja Dehat. Acting on leads, the police tracked the suspects, leading to the encounter. Adil, described as a seasoned criminal, was found in possession of an illegal firearm, cartridges, the stolen chain, and a motorcycle. Both suspects face multiple charges, including cases under the Arms Act, Gangster Act, and robbery.

Authorities have confirmed that both Adil and Imran have an extensive criminal history, with several cases registered against them. Their arrest marks a significant breakthrough in tackling chain-snatching incidents in the region, which have been a growing concern for residents.
