Heavy rains flood Railway Colony in Raebareli, disrupting commuter access

Heavy rain has led to severe waterlogging in the Railway Colony of Lalganj town in Raebareli, causing major problems for commuting employees. The colony premises have been inundated with water, making movement difficult for residents and workers.

The waterlogging issue has persisted due to inadequate drainage systems in the area. Colony residents report that the problem recurs regularly during rainfall because water cannot drain properly from the locality.

Residents stated that continuous rain over the past two days has created the waterlogging situation. The accumulated water in the colony has made it challenging for railway employees to enter and exit the premises for their daily work.

Among those present to highlight the issue were Krishnanand, Ram Gopal, Shyamlal, Madhuri, Vinod, Lallu, Basanti, Amit, Avdhesh, Laxmi, and Rajbahadur. The residents have pointed out that without proper water drainage infrastructure, the colony faces similar flooding every time there is rainfall in the area.
