Dumper overturns on shanty in UP, child feared trapped under debris

A dumper loaded with construction aggregate has overturned on a shanty in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, with one child feared trapped inside the collapsed structure. The accident occurred near LDA Inter College in the Anoopshahr Kotwali area of the district, correspondent Vishal Kumar Garg reported.

Police and district administration have launched a rescue operation at the site. The dumper was transporting aggregate material for road construction work when it toppled onto the shanty, officials said.

Family members of those living in the shanty were seen wailing and inconsolable at the scene following the incident. Senior officials including the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and the Circle Officer have reached the spot along with police personnel from several police stations to oversee the rescue efforts.

Authorities are working to extricate the child believed to be trapped under the debris of the shanty and the overturned vehicle.
