Child killed as overloaded dumper truck overturns in Bulandshahr

A child has been killed in Bulandshahr district after a dumper truck laden with construction material overturned and crushed him.

Manish, son of Arjun, aged 8 years, died on the spot when the loaded dumper toppled over a hutment at Nehruganj in the Anupshahr police station area. The dumper was carrying badrapur, material being used for ongoing road construction work in Anupshahr.

The family of the deceased has alleged that the dumper driver did not heed their warnings and requests to stop before the accident occurred.

The overturned dumper was lifted with the help of a crane, and the body of the child was then pulled out from beneath it.

Police reached the spot after receiving information and took possession of the child's body. The body has been sent to the district hospital for post-mortem examination. Police are currently investigating the matter.

Naurangi, the grandfather of the deceased child, spoke to media about the incident.
