District Magistrate reviews primary schools in Hamirpur, urges better student attendance

District Magistrate Abhishek Goyal conducted an inspection of primary schools in Hamirpur, focusing on various aspects of school operations. During his visit to schools in Badanpur and Sheetalpur, he reviewed teacher attendance and the quality of teaching, which he found satisfactory. However, he expressed dissatisfaction with the low attendance of students and directed efforts to improve it.

The DM emphasized that ensuring regular attendance is a shared responsibility of both teachers and parents. He urged teachers to engage with parents to encourage them to send their children to school consistently. Addressing the issue, he stressed the importance of creating a conducive environment for learning.

As part of his inspection, Goyal personally tasted the mid-day meal served to students to check its quality and taste. He instructed school staff to maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure the food meets nutritional requirements. Cleanliness and basic facilities within the school premises were also reviewed, with the DM calling for improvements wherever necessary.

Accompanied by the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) and other officials, Goyal issued strict orders to address any shortcomings in school management. He emphasized that maintaining cleanliness, providing essential facilities, and ensuring the overall well-being of students should be prioritized.

This inspection highlights the administration's commitment to improving the state of primary education in Hamirpur. By addressing issues such as student attendance, mid-day meal quality, and infrastructure, the district aims to create a better learning environment for children.
