BSF sub-inspector from Uttar Pradesh dies in hit-and-run accident in Odisha

A Border Security Force sub-inspector from Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh has died in a road accident in Odisha, with his body reaching his native village amid widespread grief.

BSF Sub-Inspector Laiyek Ram, who belonged to village Yawapur in the Dibai police station area of Bulandshahr, was standing on a roadside in Odisha when an unidentified speeding vehicle hit him with tremendous force. He died on the spot in the accident.

When the mortal remains of the BSF jawan reached village Yawapur, a large number of people gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased soldier. The entire village is enveloped in a somber atmosphere, with every eye visibly moist as residents mourn the loss of their local hero who served in the paramilitary force.
