BSF sub-inspector killed in hit-and-run accident in Odisha

A Border Security Force sub-inspector from Uttar Pradesh was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Odisha when an unidentified speeding vehicle struck him as he stood by the roadside.

The BSF sub-inspector died at the scene in the horrific accident. The deceased jawan has been identified as Layak Ram, who was a resident of Yavaapura village under Dibai police station area of Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh.

Layak Ram had been serving the nation for the past 39 years and was performing his duty with complete dedication. The moment news of the accident reached his village Yavaapura, mourning descended upon the community.

It is being reported that the deceased has left behind a grieving family consisting of three sons and one daughter. The hit-and-run involved a speeding unknown vehicle that rammed into the BSF official with tremendous force while he was standing at the roadside in Odisha.

The incident has sent shockwaves through Yavaapura village in the Dibai police station jurisdiction of Bulandshahr, where the sub-inspector's family is now mourning the sudden and tragic loss of their loved one who dedicated nearly four decades to serving the country.
