A bhoomi pujan ceremony was held for the construction of a new gaushala at the premises of Shri Narmade Har Seva Nyas in the holy city of Amarkantak. The ceremony was conducted in the presence of Shri Ramlal Rautel, president of the nyas and chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Scheduled Tribes Commission.

The construction of the new gaushala is being taken up as another step in the nyas’s work in the field of gau seva. The initiative is also aimed at taking forward the nyas’s wider service activities in an organised manner.

Shri Milind Ji Guruji, Shri Yogesh Dubey of Mrityunjay Ashram, priest Shri Vande Maharaj and several distinguished citizens of Amarkantak were present on the occasion.

The nyas has been engaged in social service for the past 19 years. Its work is not limited to a single area. Through activities linked to religious, social, health and environmental work, the organisation has been making efforts to provide services to people in need.

The nyas’s activities include serving meals regularly to devotees and those undertaking the Narmada parikrama. Providing food to pilgrims during the Narmada parikrama is part of the service and hospitality tradition associated with Amarkantak, a religious place.

Along with gau seva and food arrangements for Narmada parikrama pilgrims, the nyas is also working in the production and distribution of medicinal plants. Its efforts include the conservation of medicinal plants, creating awareness about their use and encouraging their spread.

These activities are linked to environmental protection and the promotion of traditional knowledge about plants. The nyas is working to continue these efforts as part of its broader social service programme.

The organisation also organises health camps from time to time in nearby rural areas. Through these camps, it makes efforts to take health-related services to villagers. Such camps also help increase access to health facilities in rural areas and create awareness among people about health.

The bhoomi pujan for the new gaushala is being described as a new step in the continuing series of service activities carried out by the nyas. The organisation has been working for different sections of society for the past 19 years through gau seva, food arrangements for Narmada parikrama pilgrims, the production and distribution of medicinal plants, and rural health camps.

The new gaushala is connected to the nyas’s work in the field of cow protection and service. Gau seva has been an integral part of Indian culture and tradition. The initiative is expected to help take forward activities related to gau protection and gau seva in a more organised manner.

Amarkantak has religious and natural importance. In this setting, the service activities being carried out by the nyas are useful for devotees, local villagers and people in need. The construction of the new gaushala is being seen as an effort to carry forward this service tradition.

The bhoomi pujan programme therefore adds a new component to the nyas’s existing work. Along with the new gaushala, its ongoing activities continue to cover food service for Narmada parikrama pilgrims, medicinal plant production and distribution, and health camps in rural areas.
