Banda police enhance security for safe Kanwar Yatra pilgrimage

In Banda, Uttar Pradesh, police authorities are taking proactive measures to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the ongoing Kanwar Yatra. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shivraj visited the yatra route to inspect security arrangements and assess the preparedness of the police force deployed along the main roads.

During his visit, ASP Shivraj emphasized the importance of vigilance among the police personnel stationed on duty. He issued clear instructions to ensure the safety of the Kanwar pilgrims and prevent any disruptions along the yatra route. The ASP also reviewed the arrangements made for the safe movement of devotees and directed officials to maintain order and provide necessary assistance to the pilgrims.

In addition to inspecting the security measures, ASP Shivraj interacted with the Kanwar pilgrims along the route. He encouraged them to adhere to traffic rules, remain cautious while walking on the roads, and use designated safe spots for resting during the journey. The police also appealed to the devotees to cooperate with authorities and prioritize safety throughout the pilgrimage.

The Kanwar Yatra, an annual religious event, sees thousands of devotees carrying holy water from the Ganges to offer at Shiva temples. Given the large crowds and increased vehicular movement during this period, ensuring the safety of pilgrims and maintaining smooth traffic flow are key priorities for the administration.

The police department has assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for the devotees. With heightened vigilance and proper coordination, the administration aims to facilitate a safe and hassle-free experience for all participants in the yatra.
