Bahraich DM Puts Administration On Alert Amid Heavy Rain

Bahraich, 26 September: In view of bad weather and continuous heavy rainfall, District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey has put the administration on alert and directed all concerned officials to remain fully vigilant. The district administration is keeping a close watch on incidents linked to heavy rain, thunderstorms and lightning.

The District Magistrate said that information about any incident caused by rain, thunderstorms or lightning must be provided to the administration immediately. This includes any kind of loss of human life, loss of animals, damage to houses or crops, waterlogging, flood or any other related incident.

Officials have been instructed to share information about any such incident immediately on the WhatsApp group. Along with this, the information must also be given to the control room of the District Disaster Management Authority on 05252-230132 and the toll-free number 1077.

The District Magistrate has also issued directions regarding trees falling on roads due to heavy rain and thunderstorms. He has asked officials to ensure that such fallen trees are removed without delay so that traffic movement can be restored and kept smooth.

The tehsil administration has been told to visit affected areas and carry out a survey of damaged houses, damaged crops, affected animals and loss of human life. Officials have also been directed to prepare an assessment report on the damage so that relief can be provided to affected people at the earliest.

The Electricity Department has been instructed to repair power lines and transformers damaged due to bad weather and restore electricity supply. The District Magistrate has asked all officials to extend every possible help to affected people and maintain full alertness during adverse weather conditions.
