The instructions have been issued to the District Magistrates of the four districts and to all related officers. Durga Shakti Nagpal directed that an immediate field survey and assessment should be conducted in areas where crops have been damaged due to excessive rainfall. She said joint teams of the Revenue and Agriculture departments should visit the affected areas and ensure a realistic assessment of crop loss, so that eligible farmers can receive relief on time as per the provisions of the government.
In view of the excessive rainfall, surveys are being conducted through all Sub-Divisional Magistrates to assess the affected crops. The concerned officials have been instructed to carry out on-site verification in the affected areas and ensure that the assessment of crop loss is fair and transparent.
The administration has also been instructed to take action to provide permissible relief, as per rules, to the affected families after conducting surveys of crop damage. In connection with the natural disaster caused by excessive rainfall, instructions have been given to ensure better arrangements and smooth operation of electricity supply in the affected areas of Gonda, Balrampur and Shravasti.

Officers and employees have been told to remain mobile in the field, keep continuous watch on the situation and, whenever required, immediately start relief and rescue operations.
The Divisional Commissioner said that preventing loss of life is the administration’s highest priority. In areas affected by waterlogging and excessive rainfall, arrangements should be ensured to shift people to safe places as per requirement. Dilapidated buildings and other places that may pose possible risks should be identified, and necessary precautions should be taken.
She further directed that flood posts and control rooms should remain active and that every information received should be acted upon immediately.
