The bhoomi pujan ceremony for the proposed Telecom Manufacturing Zone in the SADA area of Gwalior has been postponed once again. The visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Gwalior has been postponed for the second time, bringing the preparations for the event to a temporary halt.

The ceremony had been proposed for 29 October. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav were scheduled to perform the bhoomi pujan for the project. However, with Amit Shah’s visit now postponed, the programme will be held at a later date.

The Telecom Manufacturing Zone is being viewed as an important project for promoting industrial activity in the Gwalior region. The Union Home Minister’s visit had been planned in connection with the bhoomi pujan ceremony. The administration had also begun preparations for the event, but those arrangements cannot proceed as scheduled because the visit has been postponed.

According to information available, Amit Shah’s visit to Gwalior is now being proposed for after Diwali. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the new date. The preparations for the bhoomi pujan and other programmes are expected to gather pace again only after the date of the visit is finalised.

Administrative preparations for the programme proposed on 29 October had already started. Arrangements were being made keeping in mind the presence of Amit Shah and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. With the event postponed, officials will now have to prepare a fresh plan for the arrangements according to the new date.

The postponement has again delayed the bhoomi pujan of the proposed Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Gwalior. The project’s ceremony was earlier also linked to Amit Shah’s visit, and the latest postponement means that the important event has been deferred for the second time.

Attention in Gwalior is now focused on the announcement of the new programme. At present, it is not clear on which date Amit Shah will reach Gwalior after Diwali. The official date for the visit, the bhoomi pujan and the related programmes is still awaited.
