Aligarh Police Conduct Districtwide Checks Against Public Drinking

An operation was carried out across Aligarh district against people drinking alcohol in public places on the orders of the SSP, Aligarh. The campaign was conducted to ensure that public places remain safe, clean and disciplined.

In the first city circle, checks were carried out at 12 locations under Kotwali Nagar, Dehli Gate, Sasni Gate and Rorawar. A total of 122 suspicious persons were checked.

In the second city circle, 117 suspicious persons were checked at 11 locations under Bannadevi, Gandhi Park and Mahua Khera.

The third city circle covered Civil Lines, Quarsi, Jawan and the Women’s Police Station. Checks were conducted at 11 locations, where 96 suspicious persons were checked.

In the Gabhana circle, 85 suspicious persons were checked at 09 locations under Gabhana, Chandaus and Lodha.

The Atrauli circle recorded checks at 11 locations under Atrauli, Harduaganj and Gonda. A total of 95 suspicious persons were checked.

In the Chharra circle, checks were carried out at 11 locations under Chharra, Gangiri, Dadon and Palimukimpur. As many as 93 people were checked, while 02 people were brought to the police station and released after being warned.

The Barla circle covered Barla, Akrabad and Vijaygarh. A total of 89 people were checked at 08 locations.

In the Iglas circle, 96 people were checked at 08 locations under Iglas, Gonda, Mardrak and Gorai.

The Khair circle covered Khair, Pisawa and Tappal, with 91 people checked at 11 locations. Another 02 people were brought to the police station and released after being warned.

Overall, 884 suspicious persons were checked at 92 locations across the district. Of them, 04 people were brought to the police station and released after being warned.
