मोहाली ऑफिस घटना: महिला पर जानलेवा हमला, आरोपी ने की आत्महत्या की कोशिश

A tragic incident unfolded in Mohali, where a woman employed at a private company was fatally attacked by a colleague in her office. The accused, who reportedly had a prior acquaintance with the victim, entered the office and stabbed her multiple times. Following the attack, the accused attempted suicide by slashing his own throat but was unsuccessful. Both were rushed to Fortis Hospital, where the woman was declared dead, while the accused remains in critical condition.

According to initial police investigations, the victim and the accused had worked together at the same company for three years. During this period, their relationship reportedly evolved into a romantic one, which later ended in a breakup. The accused, allegedly distressed by the breakup, had tried to reconcile but failed. On the evening of the incident, an argument reportedly broke out between the two in the office, leading to the violent attack.

The police were alerted to the incident at approximately 7:40 PM and promptly arrived at the scene. Forensic teams were called in to collect evidence, and CCTV footage of the attack has been retrieved for further analysis. The victim's family has been informed, and her post-mortem is scheduled for today. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact motive behind the attack and the nature of the relationship between the accused and the victim.

Mohali Phase-11 SHO Aman Baidwan stated that all necessary evidence is being gathered, and further action will be taken once statements from the victim's family are recorded.
