A ‘Yuva Jagriti Mission’ workshop was organised today at Holy Child Public Inter College in Jadauda, Muzaffarnagar, with the aim of supporting the all-round development of students and encouraging positive values in their lives. The workshop focused on success, good values, discipline, healthy habits, time management and responsible behaviour in the digital age.

Engineer Shripal Tomar from Rohini, Delhi, was the main speaker at the programme. The event began with the joint lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Shripal Tomar, the school’s Principal Praveen Dahiya, Rajkumar Malik, Nitin Kumar and yoga teacher Satkumar ji.

Addressing the students, Shripal Tomar said that giving up bad habits and adopting good habits are extremely important for achieving success in life. He said student life is the stage when a successful personality can be built through good values, positive thinking and discipline.

He specifically advised the students to stay away from bad company and to choose good friends. Shripal Tomar said that habits adopted during youth can affect a person’s future. He cautioned that students who fall into bad company may become victims of harmful habits such as substance abuse, which can affect both their future and their lives.

He urged the students to remain with good friends from the beginning and to respect their parents, teachers and elders. The message also stressed that the choices students make in their daily lives can influence their conduct, discipline and progress.

Shripal Tomar also spoke about the sensible use of mobile phones and social media in the digital age. He said students should avoid spending unnecessary time in the digital world and instead focus on their studies, physical activities and personality development.

He told the students that technology should be used to gain knowledge and improve their abilities. The emphasis was on making technology a useful part of learning and self-development rather than allowing it to take away time needed for education and other constructive activities.

The main speaker explained the importance of time management, a regular routine and continuous practice. He said getting up on time, going to sleep on time and setting aside a fixed time for studies are important steps towards success.

He added that if students study regularly, follow discipline and make hard work a habit, they can certainly achieve their goals. The students were also encouraged to remain happy in life, adopt a positive outlook and maintain patience and self-confidence in every situation.

According to Shripal Tomar, discipline, hard work, good values and regular practice are the basic mantras of success. His address connected these principles with the everyday choices students make, including their friendships, use of mobile phones, study routine and attitude towards their responsibilities.

The main objective of the workshop was to make students aware of staying away from bad habits, substance abuse and bad company. It also aimed to develop in them a sense of moral values, discipline, time management and responsible digital behaviour.

School Principal Praveen Dahiya described such workshops as important for the character-building and all-round development of students. He said the purpose of education is not only to provide book-based knowledge, but also to make students responsible, well-mannered and successful citizens.

Through the workshop, students were encouraged to adopt good habits in their lives, respect elders, make proper use of their time and continue making efforts to achieve their goals. The programme presented success as the result of disciplined conduct, good values, regular practice and continuous hard work.
