Woman plants trees to honor late husband's memory on death anniversary

Rashmi Chaudhury on Friday marked the third death anniversary of her late husband Ashok Chaudhury by organizing a series of remembrance and community service programs at Gulmohur Enclave Society located on Rakesh Marg in Ghaziabad, combining environmental conservation with social welfare initiatives.

On this solemn occasion, Rashmi Chaudhury, accompanied by her women friends, planted eleven Harsingar (Parijat) trees in the society's Central Park and along the boundary wall as a living tribute to her deceased husband. While planting the saplings, she became emotional and said that in the form of these plants, the memories of her husband will always remain green and alive, continuing to give life to nature. Pandit Rajiv Mishra conducted the puja and rituals according to traditional customs.

Immediately following the tree plantation drive, a grand langar was organized outside the main gate of the society, where a large number of local residents and passersby partook of the prasad consisting of puri, vegetable curry, and halwa.

Among those prominently present on this service-oriented occasion were Anuja Bansal, Dr. Anshika Chaudhury, Preeti Chaudhury, Pooja Chautani, Neeru Garg, Vishal Big, Chaudhury Mahipal Singh, Dayanand Bansal, Umesh Chautani, Rahul Tyagi, Rajesh Garg, and Gaurav Bansal, along with numerous other distinguished residents of the society. All the attendees paid their heartfelt tributes by offering flowers at the photograph of the late Ashok Chaudhury.

The series of tribute programs will continue into the evening as well. A special aarti has been organized at seven o'clock in the evening at the famous ISKCON Temple situated in Rajnagar, following which grand food prasadam (langar) will be distributed to devotees and worshippers within the temple premises itself.
