Villagers protest frequent power cuts at Pratapgarh electricity facility

Angry villagers in Pratapgarh district besieged the 132 KVA Sarai Bhimsen power house to protest against continuous unannounced electricity cuts that have been disrupting daily life in the area. The demonstration took place at the facility located in the Jethwara police station jurisdiction.

The resentment of villagers boiled over as they surrounded the power house and registered their protest against the electricity department. Residents alleged that persistent power cuts in the region have been causing severe hardship to the local population. The lack of adequate electricity supply has been affecting not only household work but also creating difficulties for farmers and traders in the area.

The villagers who reached the power house demanded that electricity department officials ensure regular power supply and immediately resolve the problem of unannounced cuts. They accused the authorities of failing to provide sufficient electricity, which has been hampering routine domestic tasks as well as agricultural and commercial activities in the locality.

The protesters issued a stern warning that if the power supply system is not improved, they will launch a larger agitation in the coming days. The incident pertains to the Jethwara police station area of Pratapgarh district.
