Shravasti Power Cuts Enter Third Day, Residents Struggle For Water

Power supply problems in Shravasti have left local residents troubled, with people claiming that the electricity system has gone from bad to worse in several areas.

According to local residents, light rain has disrupted power supply in many localities for the past three days. In several other areas, people said the electricity has been out since late Thursday evening.

The power cuts have created daily problems for residents. In some places, people are struggling to arrange water because of the outage. In other areas, electric equipment has stopped working due to the lack of supply.

Consumers say they are paying their electricity bills every month, but are still not getting regular power supply. They allege that while official claims speak of 18-22 hours of electricity supply, the situation on the ground is much worse.

Residents have also levelled serious allegations against senior officials of the electricity department. They claim that top officials are not picking up phone calls and are not giving timely information about power-related problems.

Similar allegations have been made against electricity workers, including the SDO and JE, for not sharing information on time. Residents also said that details related to power cuts are never shared by the department through WhatsApp and Twitter groups connected with the public.
