Villager accuses opponents of defying court order in Pratapgarh land dispute

A land dispute in Pratapgarh district has escalated into allegations of contempt of court after a villager claimed that his adversaries seized his land despite a court order in his favor. The complainant has approached the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police demanding action against those who allegedly defied the judicial directive.

The incident occurred in Mahilha village under Lilapur police station jurisdiction. According to the complainant, a court order had been issued in his favor in the land dispute, following which the concerned plot was measured and boundary stones were installed to mark the demarcation. However, he alleged that the opposing parties uprooted and discarded these official markers and attempted to take possession of the land once again.

The situation reportedly turned hostile when the victim tried to resist the encroachment. He has accused the adversaries of hurling abuses at him and even threatening to kill him. The complainant stated that despite the court-mandated demarcation process being completed, the opposing parties showed no regard for the legal process and forcibly tried to reclaim the disputed land.

Following the incident, the aggrieved party filed formal complaints with both the District Magistrate and the police chief, urging them to ensure compliance with the court order and take strict action against those responsible. He has demanded that the administration step in to enforce the judicial directive and protect his legal rights over the property.

The case has now drawn attention to the implementation of court orders in rural land disputes. The complainant is awaiting administrative and police intervention to resolve the matter and prevent further violations of the court's directive. Local authorities have not yet issued a statement on the complaint or indicated what steps will be taken to address the alleged defiance of the court order.
