Village outside MLA's constituency seeks road repairs, waterlogging solution at public hearing

Residents of Veergang Bazar in Jamunaha, Shravasti district, have approached MLA Ramferan Pandey of the 290 Assembly constituency with a plea to resolve the long-standing problems of a dilapidated road stretch and years-old waterlogging, even though their area falls outside his electoral jurisdiction.

The villagers presented their grievances during the public hearing held by legislator Ramferan Pandey, who represents the 290 Assembly seat. They specifically raised the issue of the broken road connecting the block headquarters to Lakshamanpur Mod and the chronic waterlogging that has plagued the area for years.

During the hearing, the residents demanded that the seven-metre-wide road already constructed from Warrior Chauraha to the block headquarters be extended up to Lakshamanpur Mod with a CC road surface. They also requested the construction of a road from CHC Malhipur to Patna.

The villagers narrated the daily hardships faced by schoolchildren and traders due to the poor road condition and persistent waterlogging. After listening to their problems, MLA Ramferan Pandey, a BJP legislator, clearly stated that despite the area being outside his constituency, he would make every possible effort at the government level to ensure the construction work is carried out.

Following the concrete assurance given by the legislator, residents of Veergang and surrounding areas have developed strong hope for a permanent solution to the hellish problem that has persisted for years.
