Ujjain Youths Allegedly Stripped, Forced To Dance Over Cow Smuggling; Police Probe

In Ujjain district, a case has come to light in which two youths, allegedly caught on charges of cow smuggling, were beaten on a road and forced to dance after being stripped to a semi-nude state. A video of the incident is going viral on social media, though the video has not been confirmed, and police have begun an investigation.

The incident is being reported from Dhabla Siya village in the rural area of Ujjain district. According to the allegations, the clothes of the two youths were removed and they were made to dance to the tune of “Nagin.” After this, they were allegedly beaten severely with belts, sticks and rods.

In the video that has surfaced, the song “Nagin-Nagin” can be heard playing in the background. During this, two youths are seen dancing in a semi-nude condition. At the same time, more than half a dozen workers linked to a Hindu organisation are seen holding belts, sticks and rods in their hands.

The video also allegedly shows the workers beating the two youths while they are dancing. The incident is said to be about a week old. Police came to know about it after the video was circulated on social media.

It is being said that eight cows were packed inside a vehicle. Complaints have repeatedly surfaced about cattle being taken from the Dhabla area towards Nagda and Kanvan. In protest against this, the workers allegedly surrounded the vehicle and caught the two youths.

Police are now looking into the matter after the video went viral. So far, the authenticity of the video has not been confirmed. The case has drawn attention because of the allegations of assault, public humiliation and forced dancing on the road in the name of action against alleged cow smuggling.
