Ujjain Civic Body Adds 8 Vehicles Worth Rs 1.47 Crore

Ujjain Municipal Corporation has added 08 new vehicles to its resources at a cost of Rs 1 crore 47 lakh, with the formal dedication carried out after a traditional vehicle puja by the MLA and the Mayor.

The new vehicles were inaugurated in Ujjain a day before Shraddha, with the message that the corporation remains connected “with life and even after life.” The addition includes Moksha Raths, which will help in transporting bodies, including smaller vehicles that can reach narrow lanes more easily.

On the auspicious occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, 08 new vehicles worth Rs 1 crore 47 lakh were included in the resources of Ujjain Municipal Corporation., Ujjain North MLA Anil Jain Kaluheda and Mayor Mukesh Tatwal performed the puja and inaugurated the vehicles with full rituals.

The programme was held in the presence of Workshop Department in-charge Jitendra Kuwal and Additional Commissioner Santosh Tagore.

Of the newly added vehicles, four mini dumpers have been purchased from corporation fund money at a cost of about Rs 90 lakh. The remaining four are hearse vehicles, also called Moksha Raths, purchased at a cost of Rs 57 lakh.

Among the four Moksha Raths, two are small and two are large.
