Two West African nationals arrested with 600 grams of MDMA in Gautam Budh Nagar

Two foreign nationals have been arrested by Surajpur police in Gautam Budh Nagar with 600 grams of MDMA and over one lakh rupees in cash, police said.

The arrests were made on 15 September 2026 from the Tilpata Chowki area under Surajpur police station jurisdiction. The accused, both natives of West Africa currently residing in the Paramount Society, were found in possession of illegal narcotics and a significant amount of cash, according to a press statement issued by the Police Commissionerate, Gautam Budh Nagar.

During the operation, Surajpur police recovered 600 grams of MDMA, or methamphetamine, packed in two separate packets of 300 grams each. The white powder has an estimated street value of approximately 50 lakh rupees. Alongside the drugs, officers seized Rs 1,19,000 in cash, one electronic weighing scale, two passports, two plastic polythene packets, two mobile phones and two bags from the possession of the accused.

The two arrested men have been identified as Peter, 47 years old, son of Malongo, a resident of Street No. 124/A2, Abidjan City, Ivory Coast, West Africa, and Micheal, 56 years old, son of Barbie, a resident of Accra City, Ghana, West Africa. Both were currently living at Pine Tower 1517, Paramount Society, under Surajpur police station limits in Gautam Budh Nagar.

A case under FIR number 518/2026 has been registered at Surajpur police station under sections 8/21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in connection with the white powder recovered from the accused.
