Three Kanpur Dehat police officers retire after completing distinguished service careers

Three police officers from Kanpur Dehat district retired from service on Monday after completing their superannuation age, marking the end of long and commendable careers in the police department. A special farewell ceremony was organized at the auditorium hall of the Police Lines to honor their dedicated service.

The three officers who retired are Pragyanarain Vajpayee, Inspector Civil Police who served as in-charge of the Special Investigation Cell; Bhikhari Lal, Sub-Inspector Civil Police who headed the SPJU unit; and Munesh Chandra, Constable Civil Police posted at Police Lines. All three had served the force with distinction over their extensive careers.

During the ceremony, Reserve Inspector Premchandra Shukla felicitated the retiring officers by garlanding them with flowers and presenting them with certificates of appreciation, shawls, and gifts. Senior officers praised their excellent service record and wished them good health, longevity, and a happy life ahead. The emotional event recognized their contributions to maintaining law and order in the district.

The farewell function was attended by Head Clerk Sagar Yadav, In-charge Accountant Sarvesh Dixit, other departmental officers and staff members, as well as family members of the retiring personnel. Colleagues bid farewell to the three officers with moist eyes and deep respect, acknowledging the years of camaraderie and professional dedication. The retirement ceremony, held on August 31, 2026, served as a fitting tribute to the officers' commitment to public service and their years of contribution to the Kanpur Dehat police force.
