Tata Motors PV Sales Rise 59% to 63,760 Units in July 2026

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. reported total sales of 63,760 units in domestic and international markets in July 2026, compared with 40,175 units in July 2025. The company said this represented 59% year-on-year growth in its passenger-vehicle business.
The figures include sales from Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., a subsidiary of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. The numbers were released by the company and have not been independently audited by NewsDarpan.
Domestic sales made up most of the total
Passenger-vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 62,611 units in July 2026, compared with 39,521 units in the same month last year. Tata Motors reported 58% year-on-year growth in this segment.
The company reported 1,149 units under its PV international-business segment, or PV IB, in July 2026. The corresponding figure in July 2025 was 654 units, marking a reported 76% increase.
Electric-vehicle sales more than doubled
Sales of electric vehicles across the international-business and domestic segments stood at 15,217 units in July 2026. This was higher than the 7,124 units recorded in July 2025, a 114% year-on-year increase according to Tata Motors.
EV sales therefore accounted for nearly a quarter of the company's reported July passenger-vehicle total. The release did not provide a model-wise split, charging-region breakdown or separate domestic and international EV numbers.
Company name changed in 2025
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. said it is part of the Tata Group and offers cars and SUVs across multiple powertrains. The company also highlighted connected technologies, safety, performance and electric-mobility products in its release.
The company was formerly known as Tata Motors Ltd. Its name was changed to Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. with effect from October 13, 2025, under a composite scheme of arrangement sanctioned by the Mumbai Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal.
The July sales statement was issued from Mumbai on August 1, 2026. Tata Motors did not provide model-wise sales, revenue, discounts or profitability figures in the release.
