State Women's Commission inspects Shravasti jail, reviews prisoner facilities

A member of the State Women's Commission conducted an inspection of the district jail in Shravasti and took stock of the facilities and conditions.

Anju Prajapati, Member of the State Women's Commission, inspected the district jail in Shravasti. During the visit, she gathered information about the facilities being provided by the government to women prisoners lodged in the jail and met with the inmates to inquire about their welfare.

During the inspection, the Member examined the kitchen, foodgrain store, women's barracks, men's barracks, juvenile barracks and the hospital. She also listened to the problems faced by women inmates and directed the jail superintendent to resolve their issues.

The jail superintendent, deputy jailer and other officers and staff were present on the occasion.
