Shopkeepers located opposite the Dhimanpur ... turn in Shamli have accused their landlord of allegedly damaging the shop as part of a planned conspiracy, refusing to accept rent and putting pressure on them to vacate the premises. The shopkeepers have submitted a complaint letter to the authorities, demanding a government survey of the site and an investigation into the matter.

According to the complaint, deliberate vandalism is allegedly being carried out inside the shop. The shopkeepers have alleged that the landlord damaged the shop during the night by using a hammer and other tools to make holes at several places in the roof, walls and floor. They alleged that this was done to make the shop appear dilapidated and in poor condition.

The shopkeepers further said that rainwater collects in these holes, weakening the building and causing damage to the shop. According to them, the alleged vandalism is also affecting the goods kept inside the shop and their business.

The complaint also alleges that the landlord is refusing to accept rent. The shopkeepers have claimed that the purpose behind this is to later use the non-payment of rent as a basis in court for taking action to get the shop vacated.

It has also been alleged that the landlord and his people are pressuring the shopkeepers to leave the shop while abusing them. The complaint says that the shopkeepers have allegedly been threatened with death if they do not vacate the shop soon.

The shopkeepers have asked the administration to treat the matter seriously and immediately send a competent officer or engineer to inspect the site. They have also demanded that the alleged vandalism being carried out in the shop be stopped.
