Saraswati Sishu Mandir celebrates Raksha Bandhan with cultural rituals and student performances

Saraswati Sishu Mandir in Lalganj town of Raibareli district celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm and joy. The traditional festival saw students, teachers, and guests come together to mark the sacred bond between brothers and sisters through various cultural activities and rituals at the school premises.

The celebration began with the worship of Goddess Saraswati followed by the lighting of lamps and prayers. Sisters tied rakhi threads on the wrists of their brothers as well as on guests and teachers present at the event. Young students of the school presented songs dedicated to the Raksha Bandhan festival, adding a melodious touch to the celebrations.

Senior journalist Shri Sushil Kumar Shukla, who attended as the chief guest, spoke at length about the significance of Raksha Bandhan. He explained to the children that this festival has been celebrated since ancient times, where sisters tie rakhi on their brothers' wrists and pray for their long life and good health. His address provided students with valuable insights into the cultural and historical importance of the festival.

School manager Kailash Vajpayee emphasized that Raksha Bandhan is a festival celebrating the unbreakable bond of love between brothers and sisters. He noted that through this ritual, sisters express their wishes for the longevity and wellbeing of their brothers. The program was conducted by Principal Shri Suresh Kumar Pathak.

Several members of the school community were present on the occasion including treasurer Kaushalendra Kanchan, Chandra Prakash Yadav, Ramsharan ji, Ramesh Bajpayee, Diwakar Singh, Suresh Verma, Jagdev ji, Ramnath, and teachers Shalini Shukla, Arya Srivastava, Shivani Vishwakarma, Lakshmi Vishwakarma, Akanksha, Anupama, Shivankari, Shiv Sharma, and Vijay Shankar Tiwari along with all students of the school.
